How it works it out
- Sensors: sensors a year = 365 ÷ days per sensor; cost a year = sensors a year × price.
- Tests: tests a year = tests a day × 365; cost a year = tests a year × price per test.
- Per month = cost a year ÷ 12. First year = cost a year + the one-off cost.
Example: a £74.99 sensor that lasts 14 days → 365 ÷ 14 = 26.07 sensors a year → £1,955.10 a year → £162.92 a month. It doesn’t include sensors that fail early or come off, shipping, or insurance and NHS cover.
